He writes a memoir about his malignant relationship with his wife's daughter Lolita. He loves Annabel in childhood but his unfulfilled love haunts him in adulthood also.

He has no interest in adult woman. Due to this, he is obsessed with pre-adolescent girls.

He comes to America and rents a room from a widow Haze who has a thirteen year old daughter Lolita or Lo. He is attracted towards Lolita.

So, in order to stay near to her, he marries her mother. He tries to kill Haze.

He seduces Lolita when she is out with him for a trip across America. She soon comes to know about his sinister intentions and escapes from there.

After many years, the two encountereach other. Humbert Humbert finds that Lolita is married and pregnant but she is living in poverty.

While Humbert Humbert is waiting trial for a murder but he dies of coronary thrombosis. The writing is lyrical and sensual that actually made me think about the teenage girls who suffer all these things.

This book was published fifty years ago and the issue of Sex and marriage with pre-adolescent girls is still relevant in the globalised world. This is a heart wrenching story that takes you with the pain and trauma these girls have.

This is a serious attempt by Vladimir Nabokov. I loved the concept and the story of Lolita.

He writes a memoir about his malignant relationship with his wife's daughter Lolita. He loves Annabel in childhood but his unfulfilled love haunts him in adulthood also.

He has no interest in adult woman. Due to this, he is obsessed with pre-adolescent girls.

He comes to America and rents a room from a widow Haze who has a thirteen year old daughter Lolita or Lo. He is attracted towards Lolita.

So, in order to stay near to her, he marries her mother. He tries to kill Haze.

He seduces Lolita when she is out with him for a trip across America. She soon comes to know about his sinister intentions and escapes from there.

After many years, the two encountereach other. Humbert Humbert finds that Lolita is married and pregnant but she is living in poverty.

While Humbert Humbert is waiting trial for a murder but he dies of coronary thrombosis. The writing is lyrical and sensual that actually made me think about the teenage girls who suffer all these things.

This book was published fifty years ago and the issue of Sex and marriage with pre-adolescent girls is still relevant in the globalised world. This is a heart wrenching story that takes you with the pain and trauma these girls have.

This is a serious attempt by Vladimir Nabokov. I loved the concept and the story of Lolita.

Amongst the parents and the teachers who were ill-trained to respond to the special needs of the teenager and the teenager himself or herself who is most of the time in an identity crisis, the actual and perceived problems of the adolescent were swept under the carpet perhaps as on easy way out. Against this background, a book which documents the seriousness, heterogenecity of the problems of adolescents and possible remedial measures is very essential.
