"The traditional Indian social system has been changing very fast because of the steadily engulfing forces of modernization, urbanization, industrialization and other such processes. It has drastically affected the rural family structure in general and the age-old Indian joint family system in particular.
In urban fringes the joint family system has been disintegrated to a large extent and therefore, the social and economic significance of this institution has significantly diminished. The fact of consumerism and individualistic attitude of the younger generation has necessitated them to drift away from their villages to gain more comfort and achieving future goals in urban areas

Models in Epidemics. This book is an introduction to applications of the theory of stochastic processes -- more specifically Markov chain theory -- in population dynamics, genetics and epidemics.
A prior exposure to basic probability theory should be helpful, but by no means essential. The book includes a quick review of probability that starts from elementary combinatorial probability and ends with some basic properties of diffusions, including along the way, a fairly extensive account of martingales and Markov chains, mostly with proofs.
This is done fairly rigorously without using measure theoretic tools. In continuation of the effort to keep the prerequisites at the bare minimum, all the basic genetics the reader needs to know is included.
Yet, sophisticated material on Wright-Fisher and Moran models of genetics including diffusion approximations is presented. The material on epidemic models includes several important

The traditional form of carp culture in South Asia is based on the so called Indian major carps, cattle (Cattle cattle), rohu (Labeo rohita), marigal (Cirrhina mrigala) and calbas (Labeo calbasu). The three varieties of common carp (Cyprinus carpio) were introduced into India almost a century ago for culture in certain areas,

New Product Forecasting: An Applied Approach (Paperback)
It further deals with four major categories of forecasting techniques'''judgment techniques, customer/market research techniques, time series techniques and regression analysis,'''and explains how new products are forecast with the help of these techniques. Finally, the book discusses the important managerial considerations along with the industry benchmarks for forecasting practices.
The text is concise and practically no mathematics/statistics is used; yet it helps the understanding of the forecasting phenomenon easier and simpler. Primarily designed for the undergraduate and postgraduate students of management, this book would also be a valuable source of reference for professionals.

(less)An Introduction to Sanskrit : Applied Grammar
In the beginning, the terms of the Hindu grammarians were uncouthly fitted in the western grammatical scheme, which were later on gradually given up. After several stages of simplification, the Sanskrit grammar has now been reduced to the actual requirement of the classical texts.
Macdonell's or Stenzler's revised grammars perhaps represent the points of culmination. But these scholars had in their mind only the western students who had studied Greek and Latin before taking up Sanskrit.
Therefore mule hate hatam sarvam may be the first exercise in a western Sanskrit Grammar, but an Indian teacher may be puzzled when asked to explain this sentence to his students in the first lesson. Therefore, we

"The principal theme of the book makes a humble attempt in analyzing various aspects of theory as well as methods in anthropological economics or economic anthropology. The core concept delineates the economic field and distinguishes between formal and substantive rationality while interpreting economies of pre-industrial communities.
The book put special attention on economic phenomena, economic transactions, economic relations, etc., of tribal societies of India.
Detailed study of the economy of simple tribal communities is relevant in the context of development intervention. The book further examines critically the process of globalization which promotes socio-economic integration among nation-states.
Socio-economic development has been analyzed as a holistic concept, with special reference to Indian

"From the beginning of history, religion and philosophy has been admittedly the most vital force in shaping the human civilisation at various developmental stages. Although many scholars have worked on the history of oriental religio-philosophical tradition, but till date no such complete and comprehensive work on this subject is available to us.
Keeping this in mind, we have planned to publish multi-volumes Encyclopaedia of Oriental Philosophy and Religion in four phases successively in every year. The main emphasis has been given to provide comprehensive information about Hinduism, Judaism, Zoroastrianism, Jainism, Buddhism, Shintoism, Taoism, Confucianism, Islam, Sikhism and on other minor Oriental Religio-Philosophical system.
In the first phase of this encyclopaedic project, Hinduism in three volumes and Judaism in two volumes had been released in 2005. In the second phase of this project, we are publishing five volumes again on
